What a terrific November 25th it has been... Weeeewooo!
My voice is hoarse from screaming. My contacts are dryer than the Sahara. My wallet is lighter than a feather.
Yet, I feel like a million bucks, having just gone through one of the greatest and most satisfying evening I have ever had!
Finally I got to attend my first Kylie concert!! Woohoo!!
The concert did not began till an hour after 8, as the crowds were moving terribly slow into their seats. The stadium turned out to be about 90percent full by the way, with the majority of the crowds being Caucasians. Being one the early birds there, we waited for almost 2hours before the show sprang into its first song; Speakerphone.
The performance opened with a huge bang; the visuals on the huge screen at the back of the stage were staggering and wondrous to watch, and the hypnotizing music that flooded the entire stadium was fucking arousing! The whole stadium was cheering with such fervor, that my seats were rocking to the beat too. When she finally appeared, I curled my lips, stretched my mouth to its limit, and let out a bloodcurdling scream that echoed in my head.
One after another, she pummeled the indoor stadium with hits after hits. New songs like In My Arms, and Like A Drug gave the concert a breath of fresh air, whereas the other hits like Can't Get You Out Of My Head and Kids prompted the crowd to get off their seats and dance to the rhythm that they know so well.
My favorites of the show are: Slow, Kids(I'm surprised by how good it was, even though i never really liked the CD version), Love At First Sight, and especially The One! The songs were modified slightly for the show and became extremely great crowd pleasers, everyone just HAD to get up from their seats to groove along with the beat, and raise their arms to swing along with the melodies.
What a fun concert man! At one point of the show, she stopped and interacted with the audience for a moment, and even drew the crowd's attention to a bunch of fellows in drag seated amongst the audience! She also thanked the crowd and hinted that Singapore need not wait another twenty years for her to return again! Woohoo!
Right now, I'm just regretting not being able to get better seats to see her clearer and also not being able to get a signed autograph from her when she has finally came here.
At the end of the day though, I am just really happy that I get to spend the wonderful night with my two besties, Darius and Theresa. Hahaha... Thanks guys for spending the 150bucks to attend this show with me. You guys are the best!!
Woohoo! All the best to Kylie for her Hongkong gig on Thursday! Come back again man! =>
I will post pictures tml. Hehehe.. Too lazy now. =)
