Mountain Ocean Sun...

I know you must be wondering about the meaning behind the topic of today's blog... Fear not, cause help is here! =)

Clue : Take the first letter of each word from the topic name and arrange them into a word... Well, its not EXACTLY a real word though...

Have you got the answer? Yes, you have guessed it correctly... Haha, the ans is none other than... MOS!

A sneak peek at the kitchen area

Today was my last day working at the Causeway Point Mos Burger outlet after having been there for more than three years.

Therefore, I have devised a Chronology to help me recap some of the important events that has happened from December 2001 to April 2005...I have included a couple of photos that i took today inbetween each section... Haha, enjoy!

December 2001 : The year when i started Mos Burger as a newbie

To tell you the truth, Mos Burger wasn't the first Job that i applied for after my O-Levels. My secondary schoolmate, Syahid ,brought me to a KFC outlet for my first interview. But i didnt get the job. ( Yes, i was nearly a KFC-Kid, but it did not happen, phew!)

We then proceeded to this Causeway Point Mos Burger Outlet for our second interview. This outlet was only a month old then as it has only just replaced the old Taco Bell outlet. Frankly, i have never entered any Mos Burger outlet before as I simply could not read the Menu at all!

In the end, I managed to clinch the job, but my friend didn't. I think he got better "lobang" somewhere else... bleh..

And that is the story of "How i became a Mos Burger Boy"... Scary but true...

At first when i started to work, I was the guy who was always cleaning the tables, always sending the orders, and always getting flak for being slow. This dragged on for five long days, until my Manager, Victor, finally decided to "upgrade" me from the Lobby to the Cash Register on the sixth.

My Final Crew Meal: Mos burger with more meat sauce, more mayonaise and more onions. Together with fries and Ice Milk Tea... *Slurp*

July 2002 : The year when my Polytechnic Experience began

It has been more than six months since i began work at Mos Burger, and to tell you the truth, I wasn't handling my first job well at the beginning.

I remembered actually telling my Boss twice that I wanted to quit the job, and it was mainly because of the "cut-throat" customers that i had to face, since the day that i was assigned to be a Cashier.

I rememebered that one Customer actually called me names for making her wait an extra minute. It made me so spiffed that i actually wanted to slam her whole face into the Cash Register, and then make her drink boiling oil if I weren't working then. Sad...

My Collegues : Auntie Jennifer, Ting, Auntie Peck Hoon and Uncle David =)

2003 : The Macdonald Kid Year

Ever since i started my Poly, my working schedules have been affected very badly. I used to work every single day when i first began, but recently i only worked on Saturdays and weekdays when i would be released from classes earlier.

This year was also the year when i nearly "jumped-ship" to become a Macdonald Kid.

I was having problems with the demanding customers yet again and a friend of mine kept on asking me to work with her at a Macdonalds Outlet nearby. In the end, she managed to persuade me to quit Mos Burger and i NEARLY did!

I informed them of my one-week's notice for quitting, and i even went over to Macdonalds to apply for a job.

However, the "transaction" did not happen in the end. My Manager had a one-to-one talk with me on the situation of Macdonalds on the fourth day afer i handed in my resignation. The talk was effective and got me to stay with Mos until today.

Me and Siti... I look so goofy.. bleh..

2004 : The year of Recognition

This is the year when i got the Runner-Up Hospitality Employee In Singapore award at the Mos Burger Annual Dinner event. Hehe, now i finally have something to remember for the times i spent working at Mos..

Wei Shen, Siti and Nurul SMilie =)

2005 : The End of a Chapter

The year when I finally grew tired of waiting on Customers after Customers, and resigned for a job at Music Junction instead...

** Extra extra!! Read all about it!!**

The Types of Customers i met:
> Smelly Ones ( I really mean it! )
> Demanding Ones
> Impatient Ones ( Mostly! )
> Rude Ones
> Moody Ones ( PMS?!)
> Calculative Ones ( E.g. "How come so expensive??!!" )
> Life-Threatening Ones ( I got threatened once! )
> Act-Cute Ones ( Teens in their puberty stage )
> Dilly-Dally Ones
> Polite Ones ( Rare!! )

** Extras section has ended **

Phew! That was one long "trip down Memory Lane* for me... Although my hands are really tired right now, i feel so much better that i have finally completed today's blog.

I will really miss the times working at Mos Burger, as it was my first job and probably the most memorable one in my life. I have been through alot throughout these three years, and I have learnt a lot from it too.

This is to all of my Mos Burger Buddies at Causeway Point: Don't ever forget the times we had working together, as we can never be together like this again. All the best to everyone of you in whatever you do. Lastly..
I WILL MISS YOU GUYS!
