My first post on my MacBook.

Yeah, I know this is kind of lame, but my new laptop always gets me roused whenever I see that Apple Icon on the back of the LCD screen illuminate. My Macbook is like Ecstasy, only noone uses that anymore and my macbook is a whole lot whiter. Never thought that Mac OS would be such a pleasure to meddle with.

Here are some pictures to prove my point :

Now, if only it does not weigh a ton...

Garden Slug Article. Leave your comments on my tagboard pls. =)

                                        A Romp at
                                                  THE GARDEN SLUG

                                     “…full of feelings… Deep kind of art…”

The Garden Slug is a cozy little diner located on the outskirts of Lorong L Telok Kurau. They are well-known for their expertise in catering to parties of all sizes; mentionable are their contribution to a recent bash by Citigold. Besides catering, they also offer stomach-churning food like pastas and stews at the diner.
Recently, they held a launch party for ‘Sons’, the first exhibition by budding photographer Dennis Chong.
We were there to find out about this humble partake and contribution to our local arts scene.

- How did you first come to know about Dennis and his works?

He was a friend of a friend, through introduction I got to know that he was staying nearby the restaurant (Garden Slug). Dennis always brings his camera with him when he comes over for meals, and then he would always send us pictures that he takes of our food. As such, we were duly impressed and at the same time excited with his passion for photography.

- Can you share with us your driving points behind helming such an event for a budding photographer?

It was fated in a way of sorts. When we opened our restaurant, we have always had the notion that we would like The Garden Slug to engage in the arts. That is why we left our walls bare, to allow people to display their works freely through us. When Dennis came into the picture, we had no doubt we had our contender standing before us.

- Do you think the exhibition was a success in its own right?

Yes, the whole exhibition was a success through and through. We have to thank Dennis for his hard work and his immense passion in the arts. He, who single-handedly framed and put up all these pictures you see here, had the whole launch party and exhibition planned to a tee. A crowd of over thirty of his faithful supporters actually came all the way down for the launch on Friday, amidst the traffic congestion and the fact that it was on a weekend. You will have to pin all the success onto Dennis however, all we (The Garden Slug) did was only to provide refreshments and a venue for him to house his immense creativity.

- Is this your first time hosting such an event?

This is our first time hosting an exhibition. However, we have had numerous events, like Tarot Card reading, held at The Garden Slug before.

- Can you tell us a little bit about ‘Sons’?

‘Sons’ is actually quite poetic. When the portraits were first hung up, I actually looked at every one of them and personally felt that they flowed along like the elements of a story. In order to fully comprehend the entire meaning of ‘Sons’, one must look at the entire exhibition as a whole, as each different piece generates a different feel and creates immense feelings in the individual.

- Has any of the diners approached you about the portraits?

Some of our regular customers have asked about the portraits and even wondered about their purpose, as our walls have been bare before ‘Sons’ came along. Given such enquires; we gather that ‘Sons’ succeeds in capturing the interests and curiosity of the “heart-landers”.

- Will you be willing to host another of such event if given the chance?

Absolutely! One of The Garden Slug’s unwithering goals was to contribute to the local arts scene, even if we are just a small restaurant.
We do not expect any form of payments from anyone interested to spread their works through us, as this is the least we can do to help. Even in our menu we try to display our passion; through special requests we can cook up something unique and different for our customers.
The Garden Slug will strive to hold more events on a regular basis from now on, hoping to get the ball rolling, and in the process getting more people to open up on their interests for the arts.

“…Even if not successful, it can be like a life’s lesson…”

KYLIE RELEASES HER TENTH STUDIO ALBUM 'X' ON NOVEMBER 26!

The wait is finally over! On November 26th Kylie releases 'X', her first new studio album in four years. 'X' is preceded by the new single '2 Hearts' on November 12 (available digitally November 5). The Sun have already branded the single a "surefire No.1".

The album, Kylie's 10th, features 13 new tracks and was recorded in London, Stockholm and Ibiza. 'X' is Kylie's first studio album since 'Body Language' in November 2003. It features the first new Kylie material since the greatest hits compilation 'Ultimate Kylie' in 2004.

For months fans have been referring to the title of the new album as 'X', so when it came to naming the album it was the obvious choice.

The track listing for the album is:

2 Hearts
Like A Drug
In My Arms
Speakerphone
Sensitized
Heart Beat Rock
The One
No More Rain
All I See
Stars
Wow
Nu-di-ty
Cosmic

I SO want to stuff my head full of gay songs right now. =/

Third Post for the day.

Whew.. I am on a roll today with blogging.. Espescially since I am still recuperating from my nasty cold...

Well, just wanted to share some quirky videos I found on youtube... Both of them are so hot... Espescially... Mmm...

Swish swish swash swash...

Life's such a bore sometimes... Maybe I should get a job. Or maybe I should get a new blog, seeing how Darius has one now.

Job. Blog. They rhyme... Hmm...

Anyway, I was going through some of my old photos when i chanced upon the one shown below. Though its definetly not one of my proudest moments, its something
I would like to share with my readers.

Its amazing how much weight one can lose over the years eh?

Woo, New blog.

Wee, my buddy Dar just created a new blog! And I have always thought that he isnt the blogging kind. Oh well, time to look forward to his fascinating stories on working at TTS.

Let the blood-letting begin! HEEHEEHEE...

PS : See Darius' blog below under GOT BLOG?

Argh.. Too much steak...

Gosh, I guess there IS such a thing as too much STEAK...  Feeling hot and bothered right now, not in the sexy sense. Coughing like mad, and dripping mucus thicker than glue, sicker than earwigs. (yeah, they creep me out..) Got to get well asap. My school work are piling up, and I have the Grindhouse screening to catch on Saturday...

Birthday Part 2:
(PS: Kinda lazy, so basically just put together pictures and call it a day.)

Ah... Looking forward to next year already... =)

Birthday Part One

BLEECH!!! ACK!! GULP! Pardon me for my incessant burping, but I have just experienced a dinner fit for a king. A very FAT and GREEDY king I must add...

2 Pizzas, 8 KFC Chicken parts, 6 Fried Fish Fingers-things, 1 Medium Mashed-up Potato, 1 EVIL Coleslaw, and a 1.5L Pepsi later, my whole family lay heaving on the floor like overweight cows...

Sad... less than 3 hours later, I will be a year older... Where did my youth went? BUUURP....
=(

Revamp!

Baaahh... I have been so bored lately, having been jobless for a little over a month. Apparently the term "enjoying life" does not seem to work as well as it should...

Well, in between all those mind-numbing hours, I can't help but revamp The Gashapon Machine, just a little though. Heck, i even created another blog based on the same initial. But whether or not I am going to use that new blog remains to be seem. Currently, all i managed to do was to add pictures of "things" that matters to me on my title pic. More will be added as time goes by, unless I am simply too lazy to update it...

Anyway, just a few days ago, on the 10th of September, exactly a week before MY birthday (Take Note!), Colby celebrated his first birthday. I don't even think he realised it was his big day, as his big fat smile
is always on his face as usual.
